Treasure Boxes
Linocut, Museum of Contemporary Art, Toronto
i went to Toronto in August 2025, and took a class at the Museum of Contemporary Art, making linocuts. i made this geometric design, then printed it on fabric.
my prints.
and here is the outcome. i used the hearts on Calcetín, and now i’ll use the windows.
i’ll fill the dinwos with sentimental treasures. handwriting, fabric from travels, special pieces.
for the handwriting, i’ll use a new technique of making paper into fabric using konjac paste, which i learned to do after visiting the Asian Art Museum in Seattle and saw a textile artist there who took pieces of paper and turned them into sewable pieces and quilted with them.
