Deck the Hall: Julie Rieken’s Art Stockings

This exhibition invites you to step into the world of northern Colorado artist Julie Rieken, who uses the shape of a holiday stocking as a canvas to capture moments of her life in embroidery, beading, and stitching.
On Saturday, November 8th, I’ll be teaching a class on beading and it seems we have a good turn out, maybe 25-30 people. So that’s super cool.
Sarah Lillis from the museum will facilitate and she has gathered a bunch of materials. We’re going to make a small stocking and attach tiny embroidery scissors. I can hardly wait! It will be fun.
